YOUNG ART. LANDSCAPE - PORTRAIT - ABSTRACTION

The February Young Art auction at DESA Unicum appears to be very promising. This month our offer includes a variety of works by young artists, ranging from a surreal painting by Atomash, to a hyper-realistic winter landscape "Too Cold for Noise" by Piotr Grzechowski and an idyllic scene "Winter Idyll" by Romuald Musiolik.

Enthusiasts of portraits may be intrigued by Katarzyna Chmiel's "Physical Form - Carmen", which enjoys unflagging interest. This energetic composition full of red and brown evokes a feeling of warmth, joy, and energy. The charming heroine of Adam Wątor's painting "Her" is also worthy of note. The elaborated technique and his unique style allowed the artist to reflect the delicacy and grace of his model. A completely different approach to femininity may be seen in Patrycja Nurkan's painting No. 17 from "Body" series. The heroine looks boldly into the viewer's eyes, mesmerizing with her gaze. Her face and body are presented in outline, combining portrait and abstraction. The work is maintained in the shades of blue, pink, and red, which is characteristic of Nurkan.

Our offer also includes many abstract works. The compositions by female and male artists reflect various feelings and thoughts. The sensitivity of the creators is expressed both in intricately outlined, organic structures and intuitive compositions presenting pure expression. This month, we would like to introduce you to four of our artists.

The presented work from the "Expressions" series is a manifestation of energy, a story by Urszula Kozieł about her inner experiences. The artist identifies herself with their power of expression and pure colors that fall freely and unpredictably onto the canvas. Kozieł's paintings display freedom, energy, and positive emotions that are released during the creative process. Each of the paintings in the series is in fact a self-portrait. Although the works share a common idea, each composition is different, each of them is a mixture of feelings, emotions, and energy.

For Małgorzata Pabis, the creative process is an improvisation, but not in the sense of randomness. In this process, purpose and direction are balanced by leaving room for intuition and freedom. There is a space between those extremes, where one can experience the spiritual dimension of art. The artist reveals that she does not arrange a specific color combination in advance, as it would be limiting for her. The decision to make a given color spot is made spontaneously, in response to what is happening on the canvas. It is a kind of dialogue that resembles a game of chess. The mixing of colors takes place only on the canvas. It willingly leaves a trace of the whole process, and this trace is part of her goal. The artist's latest work took the form of a dynamic composition titled "A New Beginning".

Hanna Rozpara undertakes two main themes in her art. One is close to abstraction, includes studies of flowers vibrating with colors, the second is a broadly understood camouflage, amorphousness, and chaos. It aims to create an image that affects the viewer, stimulating intuitive, irrational elements of consciousness. This month we present a mesmerizing composition of fluid, intertwining surfaces under the title "Z A 10".

Agata Becela's works are characterized by vivid, layered colors and a variety of structures. By intuitively controlling the space in her paintings, the artist creates fascinating moments full of stratifying forms, combining them with emptiness, moments of respite. The works are composed of bold, wavy, and swirling movements, intertwining with lines and a variety of organic forms. Due to the complex structure, she creates a kind of controlled chaos. The artist tries to explore the forms, colors, and patterns that occur in the natural world. In each painting, she leaves a mystery, a space for contemplation, looking for a relationship between humans and nature. The presented composition "Clearances" is a subtle combination of purple, orange, and blue.
