The poster, perceived as a method of communication as well as an advertising medium, has accompanied film since the very beginning. While the two forms of art are closely linked and complement each other greatly, the significance of the film poster goes far beyond the strictly informative function. The Polish graphic movement was born in post-war Poland and now is permanently associated with many of the most noted films worldwide, which urged us to present posters during auctions. Imaginative, far-reaching metaphors combined with the concise and representative nature of the poster attracts viewers, while their content forces audiences to reflect on the film in greater depth.

Our offer will include numerous posters designed by the best graphic designers of the second half of the 20th century. Roman Cieślewicz, Jan Lenica, Eryk Lipiński, Jan Młodożeniec, Roman Opałka, Andrzej Pągowski, Waldemar Świerzy, Henryk Tomaszewski and Wojciech Zamecznik.

We also display sports, tourist, music, circus, theatre and film posters. The exhibition is also full of items advertising world-famous film super productions such as King Kong, E.T. or Raiders of the Lost Ark.
