This collection was born out of a fascination with Polish folk art, naïve art and art brut, which began over 20 years ago during a visit to Kraków. Over time, further travels around Poland, visits to museums, artists’ studios and collectors’ homes have enabled the creation of a collection in which the boundaries between individual movements give way to the individual power and artistic value of the works.

The collection includes works by, amongst others, Erwin Sówka, Ludwik Holesz, Maria Korsak, Jan Płaskociński, Julian Stręk and Krzysztof Okoń, whilst the sculptures by the Zegadło family – Adam and his sons Henryk and Eugeniusz – hold a special place.

The selection on display bears witness to a long-standing passion for collecting and an interest in art that combines tradition, individual imagination and the authentic power of artistic expression.
