The auction “My Paris. Selected Works from the Collection of Wojciech Fibak” brings together over 160 works of art: paintings, sculptures, furniture, and decorative arts from the collection of a legend of Polish collecting – Wojciech Fibak. The core of the presented collection consists of works originating from the collector’s Parisian townhouse, located near the Bois de Boulogne and the Roland Garros courts. In the 1980s and 1990s, this residence served as the main home and exhibition space for Wojciech Fibak’s art collection, attracting numerous distinguished guests from the worlds of art, culture, tennis, and business. The auction highlights include works by Polish artists who settled permanently on the Seine in the 19th and 20th centuries – Eugeniusz Zak, Leopold Gottlieb, Mela Muter, Zygmunt Menkes, and Jan Lebenstein – as well as groups of rare French 18th-century furniture and pieces from the circle of Viennese Secession.
