Among the key works is a piece from the series “Birds of the Knowledge of Good and Evil” by Magdalena Abakanowicz—an internationally renowned artist whose organic forms and metaphors of collectivity have become a lasting reference point in the history of sculpture. The contemporary perspective is also represented by Agata Agatowska with “Catwalk to a Dream 2,” where a sensual formal language meets a reflection on corporeality and contemporary visual culture.
The offering also includes works by Magdalena Berbeka and Szymon Ołtarzewski, illustrating the diversity of contemporary explorations—from subtle symbolism to a refined engagement with material.
An important part of the auction is also devoted to historical sculpture. Particularly notable is the symbolic work “Harp of Inspiration (Frédéric Chopin, La Harpe de l’Inspiration)” by Bolesław Biegas, inspired by the figure of Frédéric Chopin, as well as works associated with the Zakopane School movement.
Altogether, the auction presents sculpture as a medium of ongoing dialogue between tradition and modernity, affirming its vitality and its significant place within both the Polish and international art scene.
