This year’s December auction “Magical Art. Surrealism and Magic Realism” at DESA Unicum promises to be exceptional and will take place on 18 December 2025. We will present a selection of works that combine masterful technique with a wealth of imagination. Among the most intriguing highlights will be a highly valued piece by Zdzisław Beksiński from the 1970s, numerous works by Rafał Olbiński, fantastic compositions by Tomasz Sętowski, and a painting by Jacek Yerka, whose precise, dreamlike worlds have long captivated admirers of magic realism.

The growing global interest in surrealism—evident, for example, in the ongoing exhibition at Berlin’s Neue Nationalgalerie devoted to Max Ernst and Dorothea Tanning—creates an interesting backdrop for our presentation and underscores the contemporary relevance of this artistic movement.
