The "Avant-garde" auction is an opportunity to familiarize collectors and art enthusiasts with unique artworks that were not only created by the most important male and female post-war artists in Poland but are also the most valued pieces in their oeuvre. We aim to show the nature and broad spectrum of the collection's development directions, as well as to answer the question of why this particular art made such a significant impact. The catalog is a journey through the art of the second half of the 20th century and the beginning of the 21st century. In addition to the collection's history, it discusses the relationships and currents represented by male and female artists, whose works are included in the offer. Focusing on the milestones in the development of European culture, this extensive publication may not only introduce its readers to the history of art through the examples of these works but also reveal why this collection is among the most important ones in all of Europe.

The catalog starts with two works by Magdalena Abakanowicz—a work on paper from the "Cataract" series and "Texture Studies" from 1964, which perfectly illustrate her characteristic art, appreciated by collectors and art critics worldwide. You will also be presented with works by Stanisław Fijałkowski, including the 1969 "Time for the Awakening". The two most spectacular pieces were made by Wojciech Fangor. They both focus on the artist's development that took place in the 1960s, that is, his journey from the "infinity" to the "television paintings". Jerzy Nowosielski's works also merit special attention. Two of them present his peculiar view on women, which have a special place in Grażyna Kulczyk's collection. We rarely have the opportunity to present such outstanding work by Henryk Stażewski, including the extremely rare and sought-after "White Relief no. XXVIII" from 1961. The catalog also includes works by representatives of optical art, such as Julian Stańczak, Ernst Benkert, Ed Mieczkowski, and Francis Hewitt. In addition, the auction will feature three works by Jerzy Ryszard Zieliński, that is "Jurry", which is a real sensation. For years, leading Polish collectors have been actively looking for his works. The catalog also includes outstanding artworks by JJan Berdyszak, Koji Kamoji, Roman Opałka, Sylwester Ambroziak, and Teresa Tyszkiewicz. Foreign artists are represented by the Hungarian constructivist Imre Bak, a key figure of the Hungarian neo-avant-garde. Next, we present you with the works by the Hungarian artist Endre Tót and the Brazilian artist Silva Mavignier.
