Young art. Flora and fauna

At the first breath of spring, the April Auction of Young Art at DESA Unicum explores the theme of flora and fauna. The first April auction, themed "World of Plants" awed the audience with the works by Agnieszka Zabrodzka, Anna Pszonka, and Sylwia Wirska. The main motif of the next event is "Animal Kingdom". The upcoming auction will provide you with the possibility of purchasing a number of unique works by both leading young artists as well as debutants on the art market.

We encourage you to familiarize yourself with Grzegorz Klimek's flag painting "Turquoise Rodeo", as well as "Tristes Summusl" by Katarzyna (Orno) Orońska, who gave the painting her characteristic fairy-tale style. Aleksandra Bukowska's "Bengal" is also an intriguing work of art. Her characteristic technique and graphic style allowed the artist to render the tiger in a unique, illustrative manner. Fans of foggy landscapes might be interested in the "Untitled" work by Agnieszka Zabrodzka. Magdalena Jędrzejczyk's pastel work "Turkeys" and Klaudyna Biel's unusual piece from the "Animal Kingdom" series may also draw your attention.

In addition, our offer includes sculptures of various sizes. Our April catalog presents you with the works in the shades of purple - Mariusz Dydo's "Boar" and Małgorzata Kot's "Ram". Furthermore, our auction features an elegant, metaphorical cast "The Rape of Europa" by Piotr Wawer and an impressive sculpture "Angel" by Marcin Myśliwiec.

Monika Kubiaczyk-Cygan is the author of another interesting work of art, that is "Ginkgo 1", which is part of the series created during the pandemic isolation. The longing for nature resulted in creating this elaborately sculpted plant. The main motif is the majestic ginkgo leaf, which is famous for its healing properties. The work uniquely combines a fan-like form with a symbol of vitality, hope, and brotherhood.

The work by Monika Kubiaczyk-Cygan is of considerable size. The artist most often expresses herself through painting, fabric, and ceramics. Her ceramic works reflect her state of mind. The created series range from simple geometric forms to complex organic structures. Monika Kubiaczyk-Cygan does not focus on one pattern/color/shape – she does not like to be associated with only one field. Her organically decorative, ceramic works combine massive, often multilayered structures with delicate, satin, sometimes shiny, sometimes matte whiteness of the material. The artist's works refer to women. They are diverse and structured like modular forms that together create a strong and stable whole.
