The Editorial team of K Mag Magazine selects artworks for the Young Polish Artists

December's Young Polish Artists are always filled with excitement and fierce bidding, and this year marks the beginning of a collaboration between DESA Unicum and K Mag magazine.

In the auction catalog scheduled for December 20th, you can expect works from artists who consistently capture the attention of collectors. We will showcase Magdalena Jędrzejczyk's painting from the Warsaw urban landscapes series, a subtle feminine portrait by Blubird, and an abstract composition by Ryszard Rabsztyń. It's worth noting Anna Chorzęba-Kaszuba, whose work recently appeared in the "Art Now. Curator's Choice" auction created in collaboration with the Solar brand. In total, there will be 120 works, spanning from painting to sculpture, and from abstraction to figuration.

In addition to recognized and esteemed artists, the auction will feature six works by debutant artists selected by the editorial team of K Mag, a magazine that has been promoting and publishing works of creators from various artistic fields for many years. One of them is Anna Krzyżanowska, a graduate of painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Krakow. Her work intertwines various motifs, from self-portraits to corporeality and animality, which the artist filters through the prism of her own emotions and experiences. The common denominator linking all the works is themes related to human psychology, resulting in emotionally mature artwork that serves as an element of artistic expression and self-therapy.

Another artist is Julia Surwiło, a design student at the School of Form at SWPS University. In her works, she combines classical painting with unconventional techniques such as eyelid shadows or hair dye. The monochromatic-toned work "Persephone" is an example of expressive painting in which the artist weaves in inspiring texts or symbols. On the other hand, Serhii Hrychaniuk's painting "Swan" is an abstract composition based on a minimalist black and white color palette. The artist is a graduate of graphic design at the University of Lublin, and his works have been exhibited in Poland and abroad, including at "The Art of Resistance" in Valencia.
