About artist

(1934 - 2011)
Władysław Walczak-Baniecki came from a highland family with traditions of craftsmanship and pastoralism. At the beginning of the 1960s, he began creating - initially painting and drawing on paper, later on glass. Cepelia became interested in his works on glass, and Walczak-Baniecki established permanent cooperation with them.

In his work, he referred to the traditional painting of the Podhale region. He laid down the planes of colour extremely delicately, spraying the paints. Walczak-Baniecki's works can be found in museum collections in such centres as Zakopane, Nowy Targ, Nowy Sącz, Rabka, Krakow or Warsaw, as well as in numerous private collections.
