More information
The work entitled “Self-portrait in Venice” is one of a cycle of photographs taken by Eustachy Kossakowski during his travel to Italy in 1970. The self-portrait was taken by the artist in the middle of St. Mark’s Square - the city’s representative area, covered with the periodic floods called acqua alta. The classic Polish journalistic photographer travelled around Poland and Europe, documenting artistic events and everyday life seen on the streets of the cities.
