More information
‘My “World of Feelings and Imagination” tells about a human being that is endangered from the moment of birth, about their obsessions, about their feelings, loneliness, desires, about the fear that only love can rescue them from, about the tragedy of passing time, about the fear of annihilation and destruction.’ Zofia Rydet

The presented work is taken from the cycle of photomontages entitled “World of Feelings and Imagination” which Rydet created from the 1960s. It consists of 15 series that made up 70 images altogether. The artist, mainly known for her “Sociological Record”, distinguished herself in the cycle as a photographer inspired by surrealism. The created poetical world had a symbolic character, with a huge emotional charge. The works from the series were collected in the album published with a foreword from Urszula Czartoryska in 1979. “World of Feelings and Imagination” was originally exhibited in the form of a multimedia show with background music.
